From Las Vegas to Australia, audiences love Ted’s boyish charm so reminiscent of the iconic country folk singer. He’s got the looks and mannerisms, but most importantly the unique sound of one of America’s most popular entertainers. Live music at its best.

MUSIC AL FRESCO II

At the SCG Amphitheater
Monday Mar 26

Cash Bar 5:30pm
Performance 6:30pm

Admission - Free, no ticket required

Event Coordinator:
David Durham (623) 251-5301

Come and join the SCG Music Club as they present an evening of music under the stars at the beautiful SCG Amphitheater. There will be a variety of music – folk, 50’s/60’s oldies, light classical and popular show tunes from Broadway. Bring a lawn chair (or just a blanket) and enjoy the terraced Amphitheater. Pack a picnic dinner or buy a hotdog or brat from the concession cart. Please do not bring any alcoholic beverages – cash bar service will be available. The Amphitheater is located behind the Adobe Fitness Center and just east of the Bocce/Lawn Bowling area. Access is from the walkways just west of the Adobe Fitness Center and those near the model train park.

Think tailgating – only at a music event rather than a football game – and on a warm Arizona spring evening. It doesn’t get any better than that!!

(In the event of inclement weather, there will be no performance.)

SONORAN SKIES BAND
"ENCORE"

Cimarron Center
Friday Mar 30

Cash Bar 6:00pm
Performance 7:00pm
General Admission - $12 per person

Event Coordinator:
Doug Bennett (616) 450-1768

The Sonoran Skies Band debuted last November in a sold-out performance to a highly enthusiastic audience. The performance was so successful that tickets for an "ENCORE" show are now available. "Only You", "Pretty Woman", you lovely "Brown-eyed Girl", can give me that "Peaceful Easy Feeling". So, get that "Wagon Wheel" moving and maybe you can get to "Amarillo by Morning". "Time Goes By" but if you use "Tulsa Time", you might be able to "Runaway" to the "Neon Moon" in time to do a little "Boot Scootin' Boogie". In the meantime, "Love Will Keep Us Alive", so "Take It Easy" and "Teach Your Children Well". We know that you're busy "Eight Days a Week", but if you find that you have some spare time, consider spending it "Under the Boardwalk". Until then, enjoy "The Sounds of Silence". If you like these songs and the bands that made them popular, you'll love SONORAN SKIES!

The theme for this year's Grand Singers and Chorale Spring Concert is "WHAT'S OLD IS NEW AGAIN". The 145 voice Chorus and 32 voice Chorale under the direction of Pamela J. Weir, will open the concert with a familiar song "Let There Be Peace", but with a feeling of gospel and swing. You will hear a variety of familiar traditional American and Irish folk songs, spirituals and pop songs in newer arrangements. "You Raise Me Up" arranged by Mark Hayes, will be the last number in the first half of the Grand Singers. Among other songs, the Chorale will sing two newer a cappella arrangments of "Happy Together" and "Blue Moon". The finale is a powerful Mark Hayes arrangement of "Battle Hymn of the Republic".
